Fue en Octubre del 2009 que estos 2 grandes del Rock and Roll, Metallica y Lou Reed, se unieron en un concierto de celebración de los 25 años del Salón de la Fama del Rock para interpretar un par de canciones “Sweet Jane” y “White Light/ White Heat”; pues bien ahora la banda de metal ha anunciado en su pagina web que han grabado un material juntos que contiene 10 canciones:“Estamos más que orgullosos de anunciar que hemos completado la grabación de nuestro album que es una colaboración con nada más que el legendario Lou Reed. Desde que tuvimos el placer de tocar con Lou en el Madison Square Garden, en octubre del 2009, hemos estado trabajando la idea de hacer un disco juntos y hemos estado trabajando en nuestro estudio los pasados meses”
Y aunque el material aun no tiene una fecha de salida, sin duda será de lo mas esperado del año.
